Haris has taught kid's yoga in her own studio, in
the school system, to brownie troops, to the
underprivileged, at Sunken Gardens in St Pete,
on television, at numerous music festivals, and
even taught "Shal-OMM" yoga to her 4th
grade students at Hebrew school.  She is
naturally creative and has a very unique system
for teaching yoga to children and is able to
incorporate stories of all faiths and topics while
doing so. Of course we don't want to give away
all her secrets now, so come find out for
yourself!

Haris and Cassie met when Haris was teaching

Over the past 10 years I have
taught MANY kids classes and I
almost always cry on my way
home!  Watching those wild and
active bodies come in from a full
day at school and beg me to take
them to their "secret garden". The
kids that I teach have taught ME
so many things that I have
incorporated into my classes.
They are natural born yogi's and
what a gift it is for me to be in
their presence and to work with
them on this level.
Watching children roll on the
ground is more fun than watching
them sit at a desk. Childhood
obesity and sedentary rates are
sky high.  Having a hand in
changing those statistics is
fulfilling to me. I am blessed with
an active child who practices
yoga avidly. Instilling these habits
in her daily routine is my job as a
parent.  Instilling these habits in
the routine of my students is my
satisfaction as a teacher.

Prior yoga teacher certifications are not required for this course, however some basic experience with
yoga is extremely helpful.

If you plan on using this training in the general public, we at Kidding Around Yoga highly recommend
that you pursue a yoga teaching certificate at a qualified yoga school of your choice.
